My thoughts after this semester.

This semester felt as though it moved so quickly. I felt as though, for my first higher level Communications course, I produced a lot of content. I worked to thoughtfully engage with my social media accounts, readers and an organization for the social media project. There were moments I thought using this blog that I had a "voice" for talking about traveling, which was surprising to me. Even now I could write on more topics such as airplane traveling, packing for trips, organization of activities for making the most of a short 3-4 day trip and of course traveling with children. For a person who has never blogged before having content seemed daunting to post two blogs a week and correlate it back to the study of social media and being useful.

However, I would be remiss if I didn't further elaborate on the ways i have struggled this semester. Managing priorities is an ever constant flux. Initially, in reading the syllabus, the level of revolving workloads (comments, tweets, responses, blog posts...etc.) felt daunting. This is unfortunate. I wish I had the confidence to understand how to execute all the pieces of work quickly and effectively. The idea that I had free reign of thought about a topic of my preference but needed to be creative and engaging, garnered a new respect for people who choose to be a social media "influencer". I can see how it feels like work because you are constantly trying to navigate your tone, what people want to read/know, and what makes you special or worth reading. I appreciate the perspective I know have for the level of work behind social media strategy.
