But part of being intentional is remembering where you are from and the loved ones who miss you. Social Media has revolutionized how we manage to stay in touch. From having a website you update, or an awesome photo to post of your exact location, you can call home via digital platforms without needing an international calling plan. These methods have changed the idea of what it means to have intentional contact. And yes, some will merely say updating your Facebook page, but sometimes does a quick photo change feel more engaging or perhaps braggadocios. The thought of keeping in touch, from personal perspective is the act of truly engaging and sharing. Yes it begins with a highlight, perhaps, but there is inspiration, or connection with those who can see where you have been that tells a story. For example to your parents, its that you are safe, to your siblings you are enjoying your time and will have much to share, or to those close friends, your trip may be inspiration for their future destination. But engaging with others is the key to building relationships and maintaining connection.
