On a Cloudy Day

Sometimes on the rainy, dreary sleepy days it feels easier to stay home. But it is the middle of the week so to be honest, we all begrudgingly got ready to head out for the day. There is school and errands to run, there are meetings and work... But as we are driving we see the local school children with brightly colored book bags, umbrellas and raincoats. Driving pass the train station, a hotspot for activities, people are biking in to catch the train, ladies are holding bright pastel parasols and we see the crossing guards in green neon colored vest. The culture here resonates with anything "Kawaii" (Kah-vah-ee) essentially, super cute! Although I take my daughter to school she see's her school bus driver and waves at the bright yellow bus with colorful letters on the side, and our spirits are all lifted. We are singing, we are talking and we feel bright and busy just like everyone around us. Funny how sometimes you just have to get out of your house to lift your spirits. Pushing back on the cloudy days and adding a little brightness by the choices you make, even if it's just a raincoat. Living surrounded by so many people I appreciate how you can be captured by the movement around you to go out and get things done!
