While living in Japan I am continuing my education and working towards finishing my degree from the U.S. The Communications class I am taking is the catalyst behind this blog.

Some questions I have for this class regarding social media and possible a future career path change from more Operations based to Communications driven are included below.

1. Why am I so intimidated/nervous by social media and managing different platforms at once?

2. How much Social Media work, is behind moderate to major bloggers that I have followed in the past?

3. How effective timing is from using Hootsuite, from having drafts in Wix folders and pending tweets, how does it all connect?

4. Will this semester help affirm my interest as a Communications Manager for Healthcare as a possible career change?

5. How is voice and tone different from personal and professional online social media engagement?

6. What is the research on positive business outcomes from social media engagement?

7. How I can creatively stretch myself to come up with a social media plan for another organization?

9. How to stay ahead of trends for posting pictures, or videos, or blog post? How to stay interesting?

10. How do social platforms develop not just silent followers but like minded followers? I hear about communities online with similar interest that actually ask questions and engage rather than just consume information and how do you create and environment for that group?

Just a few questions about learning and working in this social, media driven world :)
